Halfling

A race of closely human form, yet reaching only half human height when full-grown, halflings are uncommonly found as adventurers, preferring the comforts of home, family, friends, regular meals, and a steady bedmate, and caring little for the world outside their lands.

The rare halfling girl who follows the path of adventure must have something remarkable about her to drive her away from the comforts of halfling society into the wide, cruel world -- tragedy, insatiable curiosity, powerful acquisitiveness, or a drive to live her own life outside the role appointed for her. Or perhaps a love for nature stronger than that of her own society.
