Guildmaster

This is you. Your character is not customizable as you are unseen and don't physically interact with the characters. Your job is to run the guild in your region as you see fit and make money to pay your adventurers, staff, yourself (for personal use), the main branch of the guild, and any taxes, debts, and other fees bestowed on you by your decisions or by the local monarch, governor, and lords. Pleasing the right people will mean bonus money by earning a good reputation for the guild, by saving the right people, or by looking the other way. Yes, you can allow crimes and other misdeeds go by unpunished and earn coin for it, but it costs your guild reputation if you aren't careful and you could have the law or angry mobs storming the guild grounds. All in all, you control everything to an extent and your heroes will follow you until they fail enough times for them to see through your facade.
