Group Activity

Turns out, our English teacher, Mr. Parker, knew that today was the start of the second semester, and cut us some slack.

"Today, you guys are going to work in groups. You guys should have read Chapters 30-35 of Great Expectations this week, so I'm going to pass out this worksheet and each group will focus on one chapter, and the significance of it. Tomorrow, we'll compare what each group did, and do an overall examination of the chapters. No more than 3 to 4 people in a group - can anyone help me pass out these worksheets?"

Doe sits to my left, and doing the customary look around for group partners, our eyes meet and I ask, "Wanna work together?".

"Sure", she says, smiling and turning her desk around.

Elizabeth, and Jacob, who sit just behind me and Doe join us too and we get to work.

"You guys doing anything this weekend?", asks Jacob, glancing at each of us in turn.

"Nah, why whats up", I ask, deciding to respond first.

"Eh, I figure I'll throw a party at my house. My parents should be gone, and I think everyone should have a lot less work to do this week. Your definitely welcome to come - I think the theme will be ABC."

"Yeah, that sounds like fun. I'd be down, is it cool if I invite some friends too?", I respond.

"No problem man, it'll be a big party so invite anyone you know. In our grade though, I want this to just be a party for our grade - to celebrate, ya know."

"How about you Doe, and Elizabeth?", asks Jacob.

I pull out my cell to text my friends and let them know about the potential party, also listening for Doe's response.

"ABC? Is that anything but clothing?", asks Doe.

"Yeap", says Jacob
