What will she do?

Grit and bear it

Emily grew more and more fed up every minute she sat in the water, hoping for a miracle. The waves continued to beat down upon her, making it harder and harder to stay in water deep enough to hide herself. She looked up and down the beach, and soon a lifeguard rolled down the beach on an ATV, brandishing a megaphone. “Out of the water! There’s a storm coming in, get out of the water!”

Emily looked around, horrified. She turned towards the Atlantic, and sure enough a Storm was just coming over the horizon. It looked to be large, and thunder could be heard in loud claps far away. She cringed, and desperately waved towards the lifeguard. Ignoring her, he continued down the beach, apparently trying to warn others. Several families and young couples quickly packed what little they had brought with them, and employees raced outside to stow the umbrellas and chairs away. Emily watched as the hurried madness unfolded from afar, unable to move. Her dad ran quickly back down the beach, and spoke to her sister for a moment. Shortly afterward, he took off again for the resort.

It was several minutes later, when all the employees had packed the umbrellas and chairs, and the only people left on the beach were the occasional strolling duo, Emily, Ashley, and their mother. Ashley looked around, at the rapidly darkening sky. “What’s taking her so long? I don’t want to get wet out here.” She said annoyed.

Emily’s mom rolled her eyes, and loudly yelled “Emily! What’s taking so long?”

Emily angrily huffed as another, larger wave crashed into her. “I...I can’t come out of the water. I lost my suit!”

“You what?” Ashley said with a grin. Her grin slowly transformed into a wicked smile, full of devious intentions.

Emily’s mom shook her head, contemplating why this had to happen to her daughter of all people. “How did you even manage that? Were you trying to body surf again?” Her mother asked annoyed. “Whatever. I don’t want to know. Ashley, go get your sister a towel.”

Ashley beamingly shook her head yes, and trotted off. Her mom turned again to Emily. “Look I know it’s embarrassing, but you have to get out. You hear it too, the thunder. Your safety is a lot more important than your dignity.” Emily’s mom begged.

“Mom!” Emily said, flabbergasted she was even suggesting that.

“Just get it over with, nobody’s around anyway!” Emily’s mom said, looking towards the sky.

Emily heard a very loud boom, confirming her mom’s warning. “I might be naked, but at least I’ll be safe.” She thought with a wince.

Emily crossed her right arm over her small breasts, and placed her left hand over her crotch. Looking back showed her average, well rounded rear was completely exposed. She quickly bolted for the shoreline, not giving her state of undress a second thought. As soon as her bare feet escaped the grasp of the water, she felt the light breeze run over places that hadn’t been exposed to the elements before. She shivered, and a blush rose to her cheeks once she thought about how she looked to anyone else at the moment. Emily’s mom ignored her daughter’s state of undress.

“Come on. Let’s go to the entrance so we can meet her on the way out.” She said blankly.

Emily stuttered, trying to tell her no. She found she couldn’t, and walked along in silent embarrassment. Once they reached the gate to the path...

What will Emily encounter next?
