Grisly Massacre

You hear your pack mates bounding up the stairs to your low-rent apartment as you hurriedly attempt to catch up to them. You're not the fastest in your pack, but you quickly make your progress to the top of the top of the building. The door to your apartment is open, and the horrifying sounds of an Urathan battle can be heard from within. Steeling yourself against the inevitable sight, you enter the chaos.

The first immediate sight is Clive's immolated body, followed shortly by two others of your slaughtered packmates. Whatever killed them was keen enough to sever muscle, bone, and tendon, but also hot enough to cauterize the wounds immediately. These sights alone are enough to capture your attention long enough to almost miss the one chance to save your last remaining packmate, Kurt. Kurt, being another warrior in mind, is definitely the one packmate you had put money on to survive a situation like this, but you had never hoped to be proven right.

You tear your attention away from the corpses of the fallen just long enough to see the "slut" you had picked up earlier wielding a flaming sword of some construction, brandishing it overhead, and preparing to sink it into Kurt's skull. To either of her sides are companions who arrived at some unknown time in some unknown fashion. By this situation, it might be best to simply forget any attempt at rescue and simply run, but you're unsure of your chance of survival in that course of action. In that case, it might be safer to rescue Kurt and then make a run for it, as his experience could prove invaluable in learning more about these attackers.

And then... And then, there are the corpses of Clive, Sephrrya, and Caliban, your slaughtered packmates. The very sight of them boils your blood, and the ones responsible are at hand.

But, it's not like you have long to consider your options.
