There was an audible click, and Jason's voice returned from the speakers. "I have just one more announcement for the next few hours -- while it's nighttime in North America. I want to fully enjoy these lovely reporters, after all. I am rewarding some of you with concubines -- and I will reward some of you by making you concubines. You'll know what to do, and there will be a star on your collar."

The speaker clicked off. Kevin and Jennifer looked at each other.

The phone, still in Jennifer's hand, buzzed. She looked down at its screen to see the "recent calls" list, and with a sudden flourish of animation, the call from Kimmi's father scrolled away. "Now why would --" she started to ask.

There was a polite cough from the door of the bedroom.

Kevin and Jennifer looked over to see the stunning Asian teen in her skimpy latex outfit standing there. Her collar had a silver star following the silver letters that spelled out "KIMMI."

She closed the door behind her and started to walk over toward her friend's parents. Jennifer realized her breasts were exposed and covered them with an arm. "Oh, no, Kimmi --"

"No, don't you see, this is perfect," Kevin assured her. "Kimmi's our concubine, so it doesn't matter what her parents think. We're in charge of her."

"And you're okay with all this?" asked Jennifer.

"Okay with all this?" Kevin repeated. Something registered with him, a memory of the phrase "I'd just like to be okay with all this." Well, of course, why wouldn't he be? "You're not okay with all this?" he asked.

"I don't, um -- hmm..." Jennifer trailed off, now that Kimmi was standing in front of them. Kevin was right -- this seemed to be the best outcome they could have expected for Kimmi. And it was undeniable that she was quite a beautiful young lady, especially after being enhanced earlier in the evening...

Jennifer embraced Kimmi, and the two shared a kiss.

Kevin was definitely okay with this.
