I decided to goto Jennifer's, she'd be able to help me
At least that's what I hoped.

"What has happened, and how come mom doesn't seem to remember?" I grumble, trudging along the street.

A car slowed down and matched my pace.

"Hows the birthday girl?" A voice asks.

The voice sounded familiar to me. As it should as it turned out to be John, one of the biggest jocks at school. Before he'd have nothing to do with me.
My being a geek was one of the main reasons, almost no-one but another geek would hang out with a geek.
What hit me the most was that he acknowledged my existance, this was until the bigger shock. He actually knew it was my birthday, 'What is going on here?'
