Good evening, everyone

Wondering what on earth you are doing there, you listen as Monique addresses the students on the field and in the stands.

"Good evening, everyone. By now you should each be at your stations and have found several envelopes there for you. At the appropriate time, each of you are going to have a chance to see what is inside those envelopes. To get us started, let me introduce our announcer for tonight, who will demonstrate how this all works."

Monique hands the microphone to you, and you freeze, mortified at the thought of speaking publicly. With her finger off the mic's button, she hands you a card and says, "It's ok... Just read this. I have it all written out for you."

Still terribly uncomfortable, but really wanting to get into this fraternity, you take the card and begin to read as Monique rekeys the microphone.

"Good evening. I will be your announcer for this evening. Let me demonstrate how this will work. Monique is holding two envelopes right now, and I will choose one and open it. One envelope describes something I must do, and the other describes something someone else must do. The choice of envelopes is mine, but the instructions inside are not optional for anyone who wants to survive this Pledge Week. I will now choose an envelope."

You look up and see Monique holding a blue envelope with one hand and a white one with the other. Your throat is dry, and your hands are shaking.
