You pull out your phone, seeing that Matt had sent you a text.

'just saying that we're all okay. decided to end the game'

'well Miranda went home on her own. Tom's resting up after getting hurt and Sarah needed some comfort ;)'

You show Nicole the texts, to which she smiles.

"Well, that's good to know."

"See, there's nothing to be worried about. Now how about you go back to bed."

"Okay John. Goodnight."

"Night." You kiss her on the forehead, before she lays down. Only then do you notice she hadn't removed her hand during the entire chat. Matt's comment about 'comforting' Sarah isn't helping either. With a sigh, you kiss Nicole on the forehead once more, before whispering "I'm just going to the bathroom."
