Good Gods, not THAT!

A flaxen haired office assistant wheals a little mail cart and pegboard out into the stage and then disappears again, and you wait while your interviewer gets up out of his chair and pulls several items out in large plastic bags which he hangs on that pegboard. You watch in dawning horror as two riding boots, a pair of red and black tights, a black trench coat, an orange scarf, and a blond wig come out.

~Oh please tell me someone stole it!~ You think, as Mr. Gallows, still standing, looks at you and asks "Do you recognize these items?"

"Yes." You state, wishing you could be anywhere else.

"What are they?" He probes, watching you squirm inwardly.

"Part of a disguise I used to evade the tabloid reporters this morning." You state, deciding evading the question is pointless.

"And this completed the outfit correct?" He asks, pulling out and hanging up the Guy Fawkes Mask you wore when leaving the apartment.

~I KNEW that damned MASK would get me in trouble!~ You think, but know the only way out of this is THROUGH. "Yes, but it was just a mask." You declare, winding up for your pitch.

"Oh? Explain." Terry says sitting back down.

"I just wanted to get out of the house to pick up Martha here from the vet and knew that if I went as myself the tabloid reporters would hound me all the way there and all the way back, so I put on a disguise. I didn't have any other masks that hid my face sufficiently, so I used the Guy Fawkes mask, even though I knew it might give people the wrong Idea." You explain with almost total honesty, the only lie being where you were picking up Martha from.

"I see, so you are NOT affiliated with the so called 'Anonymous' movement, nor do you endorse the recent hacking of the Pentagon and erasure of 5000 Super's identity manifests from the government computers?" Terry asks like the slash of a saber.

"No, in either case." You state, this time with complete honesty.

“We know you registered, but what IS your stance with respect to the 'universal registration initiative': do you support all supers being registered, or are you of the opinion that a person's 'right to privacy' should not be infringed because they have developed trans-human abilities?"
