Goblins

Turning about, blade at the ready, Venus blinked as she saw that what was behind her was not a werewolf, but rather a small, green, creature. Its ears were pointed, its small body dense and muscular, and wearing only a loincloth and a mischievous grin, the creature held a spear out menacingly towards Venus. She realized that this was a goblin, one of the creatures that the village hunters had told her about. It hardly seemed that intimidating to her, and she began to take a step and simply slay the creature when she heard another sound.

Spinning around, she saw another of the goblins step out of the brush and brandish a spear. This one was a few inches taller than the other, but was also much fatter, waddling closer as it threatened her with the weapon. With another sound came another goblin, and then another, and then another! Soon, Venus found herself surrounded by the horrible little wretches, and became less confidant that she could take so many of them before they were able to stab.

The first goblin, the most muscular of the group, growled to get the huntress' attention once more. When she turned to him, he spoke, "Hu-man wo-man. I Taka of Firebrand Tribe! You trespass on our land. We let you pass, when you give us body as payment."
