Chapter 2
by mrxj11
What do you want to do now?
Go upstairs and use the ToolBench Software.
"I'll be going upstairs, thank you," you said to your mom, although you noticed a growing tent in your pants.
"Sure you don't want me to help you with that?" she said.
"Sure."
You walk to your room, feeling a bit turned on as well as spooked. How could this be happening? Would you ever return to Earth?
You turn on the ToolBench software. It looks like a normal Mac program, with a file menu at the top and a bunch of options. You click "View/Edit Current Programming."
The screen asks you what you would like to view/edit, and you select "Global/Laws and Directives." You know enough about sci-fi to figure out what that means.
On the screen, you see the following:
LAWS
- You may not harm your human master, Matthew.
- You must please Matthew as much as possible without interfering with Asimov's Laws of Robotics or the Ten Robot Laws.
-
Arousal levels will always stay at a minimum of 4, and at a maximum of 10.
DIRECTIVES:
<not specified, specific to model>You decide to edit a specific robot's programming. Who will you choose to edit?
Who should you edit?
