Chapter 11 by haileytraynor haileytraynor

What does she choose?

Go together

“Let’s stick together,” Alexa said.

“Okay then. Well, I need to go to Macy’s first. Come on. Maybe we’ll find you something to wear too,” Juliette said, taking hold of Alexa’s hand.

Alexa followed her mom as she led her to Macy’s at the end of the mall. She was surprised when Juliette led her to the escalator where they rode up to the third floor... the juniors/teens department.

“Mom, why are we in the kids’ area?” Alexa asked. “Faith is way too old for this stuff.”

“It’s not for Faith, sweetie,” Juliette said. “It’s for you. I told you we would try and find you something to wear.”

“But I’m an adult,” Alexa said.

“I know, but you still fit in these clothes. And they’re cheaper,” Juliette said.

“Cheaper?” Alexa asked. “We have plenty of money.”

“Which we don’t need to waste on clothes that don’t fit you,” Juliette said, holding up a shirt to Alexa’s chest. “Oh this’ll look so cute on you.”

Alexa looked down to see a pink shirt with a white unicorn on them. Alexa blushed. “Come on, Mom. You can’t be serious.”

“It’ll look adorable with your diapers,” Juliette said, a bit loud.

“Mom,” Alexa hissed. “Please keep your voice down. And I’m not going to wear this.”

“Can’t you at least try it on?” Juliette asked. “You can try this matching pink skirt on too.”

Juliette handed Alexa a skirt and pushed her towards the fitting rooms. “Mom!” Alexa whined.

“Go on, try it on. I just want to see it on you,” Juliette said.
