Go to sleep! You have a long day ahead of you

You wake up with a start. ‘Get up!’ your aunt yells. 'You've slept through the entire day- we are going to be late!’ You grumble as you get out of your bed and put on the fancy clothes your aunt has laid out for you. It seems that Anne and Bruton have already left to help with preparations. Despite the hurry, you have a glance at the mirror on the way out of your room. As you glance at your reflection, you grin to yourself- you are now a man, and you finally look the part too.

Aunt Maria shows you a rare smile as she repeats your thoughts. ‘My boy is finally a man!’ Before long though, she is back to her usual self, chastising you for taking so long and pushing you out the door.

‘We’re going to be late!’ You roll your eyes, but you follow her out the door.
