Go to college with mom

I woke up early by my alarm, i quickly got out of bed, i went to the bathroom to have a quick shower, i put on some nice clothes to give a good impression the first day and i went downstairs to have breakfast with mom. I finished my breakfast, went back to the bathrool to brush my teeth and finally i was ready to go to school.

I waited for mom in the couch, i was looking at social media and found a lot of students posting about going to their first day of school. Mom walked in the living room, she was ready... she had done her hair and put on a nice sweater that made her look really cute. She looked at me and said "Are you ready sweetie for your first day of school?" I nodded and we left the house, she held my hand as we were walking to the bus stop at the park that was to blocks away from our house.

We kept walking, she held my hand like we were a couple, i looked at her and said "I'm nervous mom, it's weird to return to school so soon"

She turned her head to look at me, she patted my head and then said with a smile "Don't be scare, is going to be fun... you are going to meet a lot of people and you'll enjoy it, i'm sure" i calmed down by her reassuring reply and we kept making our way to the bus stop.

At the bus stop i looked at a mom with her child, they were in the same position as us - the mom was holding her son's hand while she scratched her shirt. Mom looked at me and smiled again, it was weird to see her smile that often but i was sure that she did it to make me feel safe and confident - something that i definitely needed as i was scared to go to school.

We hoped on the bus - it was a normal looking bus but i noticed that the handles at the top were different, they had the perfect shape to grab it and hold a good grip of it. I spent the entire ride staring at the streets, the stores in the main avenue, the building in downtown and the huge mall. We turned left after a couple of blocks from the mall, if we kept going straight we would have reached the start of a hill that had a bunch of fancy looking buildings on top, i guess that's the rich part of the city, the fancy white neighbors and all of that from the high classes i thought.

We finally made it to our destination, we hopped of the bus and i looked around, there were a couple of trees and normal houses behind me, i could see the mall from here and it was fairly close so i guessed that we weren't that far from the city. In front of me there was a parking lot, i noticed it belonged to a huge building next to it.

I stared at it for a while, i noticed that mom was also staring, she was probably the even more impressed than me - we were contemplating a huge building, actually a couple of huge buildings on top of a small hill. I looked around, there were a couple of teens walking towards the entrance of the main building, i looked at the entrance gate a couple of meters next to me at my left and i knew that this was the place. This is it i thought i have made it to college, holy shit i'm so scared... why am i so scared? Is simple, i just have to go through the entrance and that's it... it shouldn't be a problem.

I looked at my mom who was still contemplating the size of the buildings, i said to her "Well mom, i guess this is the place" she stared at me and leaned to kiss my head, with a sweet tone she said

"Good luck honey, remember to be safe and... try making some friends or something... just enjoy your time there and have fun, that's all that matters... apart from the actual education of course" we both giggled while she held me by my shoulders, still leaning to stare at my eyes. I noticed that as we were talking a couple of girls passed by - they looked at me and kinda laughed at the sight of my mom leaning to wish good luck to her 18 year old son, i wasn't embarassed by it but i thought that it was a bit too much so i stepped away and said to mom "Alright mom, i have to go, i don't want to be late on my first day"

She replied "I understand, i'll see you later at home... love you!" I was already at the main entrance gate as she said that but i still yelled back "I love you too mom!" I didn't notice the girls from earlier right next to me, they seemed startled by my scream and i turned around to look at them with an akward face. I finally turned again to see mom holding her chest while she had the biggest smile, i waved at her as i was making my way to the facility and after a couple of seconds i stopped doing it and focused on entering the main building in front of me.

As i walked i looked around to see some other students going to the entrance where there was a man in suit greeting everyone.

Alright man, you got this... this is the start of your college life... remember that we have to go through 4 years so you better make a good impression here i said to myself, i kept hyping myself up as i made my way to the entrance.
