Go out and greet them

You smile as you go up to greet your family. You wife seems to happy to see you and you help her in with the groceries since your teenage daughter Alma seems to fixated on her phone.

Soon though you find yourself inside with your lovely family... well your wife since your daughter is quick to disappear to her room. Or so you thought but her cry of excitement tell a different story. It sounds like its from the basement, you freeze as you remember that you didn't put the device away but merely covered it up.

The last thing you hear is your beloved machine and lifework exploding
