Sliding open the glass door you step into your garden, just doing your jeans back up as you do to keep them from falling around your knees. Hopping over the small fence that separates your two gardens, you approach her glass-panelled back door that leads into her kitchen.

You rap your knuckles gently on the glass panel, but after ten seconds without any reply you feel that maybe Lucy cannot hear your knocking.
