Get your Gun

You pull down the compact rifle and shoulder it just to get a feel for the weapon. It's a little heavier than you expected, but it balances well, so the weight isn't a problem. You note that the gun is also tricked out with several accessories, including a small scope, a laser sight, and a flashlight...Probably way more than you need, but it makes you feel excited and powerful holding this definite piece of gun porn. You wish you could test fire it, just for fun and practice (you've shot guns before, but never this one), but live ammunition and confined concrete spaces (where said ammunition might ricochet back to you) do not mix.

You only have the ammunition in the magazine, which is full. But then again, it holds FIFTY bullets! How on earth could you run out?

The gun you're holding is very compact. You think you could hide it in the backpack if you wanted to, but you'd have to take out some of the food. In the backpack, the weapon wouldn't be as accessible, but it also wouldn't scream, "Look at me! I'm heavily armed!" to anyone who sees you.
