You're about to call one of the detectives when it occurs to you that you may be out of your depth. What you need is someone with more experience to give you some advice. You scroll through your contacts until you find the number for one of your law professors.

Dr. Simmons was your favorite professor, an older man with a witty sense of humor who always had time for students. He's been a great help to you during college, and you give him credit for having helped you do well in his classes. You dial his office number and he picks up right away, his familiar kind voice a welcome sound in your ears.

"Oh Dr. Simmons, I'm so glad you're in. It's Lisa, Lisa Carter, from your class."

"Yes Lisa, good to hear from you. What can I do for you?"

"I really need your advice. It's a bit hard to explain over the phone. Can I come and see you?

"Certainly. I always have time for a willing student. I'm in my office until four." You thank him and tell him you'll be there right away. You feel better after calling him, even the sound of his voice made you feel safer. You feel certain that he'll be able to give you some good advice about the situation with Steve Richards. With fresh confidence, you head out the door for the college campus
