Chapter 3 by FallenSaint FallenSaint

What's next?

Gear types and weapons

Gear can be divided into three types: Cloths (Light protection), Medium (Good Protection), and Heavy (Great Protection) For example: (This may change if I get someone with better ideas to chip in on this, but it will be updated then)

Cloth gear has the lowest defensive abilities, but allow for greater speed and evasive abilities. This gear, though weak, is actually quite popular in even the higher level characters (Currently the highest level is in the 30's). Dresses, Robes, and Suits would normally fall under this category.

Medium gear is more durable than cloth gear, but takes a small hit for speed. While it can take hits fairly well, it is better for characters wearing this armor to switch out occasionally. Characters wearing this gear commonly use act as scouts and the main infantry for raids and parties. Breast Plates, Chain Mail, and Leather Armor fall under this category.

Heavy gear can take a beating and keep right on with the fight. This gear takes a huge cut in speed but usually the wearer doesn't need to run. Heavy armor is best placed on the front lines. Heavy gear would be a waste for an archer or thief, who would normally need more speed and stealth. Full Plate Armor, Scale Armor, and Steel Armor would fall under this category.

Both gear and weapons have a color rating, with white being the weakest and most common. The color range is White (common), Blue, Green, Red, Purple, Gold (Legendary). While each color above white has a boost in either attack or defense, Red, Purple, and Gold gear also have enhanced abilities added on. For instance, a Red weapon might have an elemental ability added to the attack, while a Purple weapon of the same class might have double the chance for a critical strike. Gear with one of these colors could absorb certain attacks, grant invisibility, or allow for temporary flight (Gold Fairy Queen Dress).

The item used to make the gear and weapons will give them different names and also affect their attack and defense as well as any special attributes they can have. A normal Steel weapon will be stronger than Iron, but a weapon forged from the claws of a poisonous monster will have an added poison strike, but depending on the weapon color, it could be weaker.

Weapons are also primarily class specific except for the Extra Weapon category which if available can use most of the extra weapons types for every class. Some characters might have "Special Training" skills that allow for weapons outside of their class.
