Wait till he sees this.
Fucking DHS...
"You have GOT to be fucking kidding me!" Robin growled, hanging up on the ticket agent. Fucking Department of Homeland Security. Of all the reasons to have a band cancel, being denied a visa for an undisclosed reason had to be one of the lamest reasons he could think of. Not only that, but the venue had decided that since they had changed the marquee, they didn't need to change the website. No refunds... sorry. At least he checked before dragging himself all over hell and back, but still, frustrating as heck. The wheels of bureaucracy and online ticket sales...
He clicked off the website on the aged computer. He glanced across the living room to where his daughter Miranda sat on the slightly torn couch, a controller in her hands and her eyes intent on the screen, where numerous cell shaded villains were rapidly blasted to the sound of a heavy metal soundtrack.
"So, am I actually gonna get the PS4 tonight?" Robin queried.
"Depends. Do I get the computer?" His daughter replied, before whooping as a large explosion occurred onscreen.
"What game?" Robin asked right back, checking the time. A couple hours left, couldn't hurt. It was fair of course, his homebuilt machine was a far better gaming machine than the girls' bargain basement recycled PC's. "And is homework done?"
"Dad, College doesn't give Homework any more..." Miranda laughed, "We actually do most of it on the computer anyway."
"Oh crap... clearing history..." Robin began clicking rapidly.
"Ugh... Gross dad." Miranda replied, leaning back in her shorts and Lost Boys T-shirt.
"So, which game then?" He repeated the question.
"Uhm... Darkest Dungeon?" Miranda suggested, raising her eyebrow.
"I didn't know you were into masochism, kid..." Robin laughed, standing up from the small table after double clicking on the icon.
"GROSS..." Miranda sighed, closing the game after quickly saving. "By the way, what's for dinner?"
"There's some spinach Ravioli on the Stove. I think your sister already took hers back to her room." Robin jerked his thumb over his shoulder. His oldest daughter moved quickly into the kitchen, serving herself from the pot that Robin had gestured towards. She settled into his computer chair, placing the bowl beside and pulling his headphones on.
"Thanks Dad... OOOH you're right this is good..." She commented, her eyes on the screen.
Time to talk to Titania
