From the Author: Info before you start

Hey, guys! This is my first story here on CHYOA, so here is a bit about my vision for this as yet unfinished work, for any of you who care. First of all, I hate that so many CHYOA stories only have one real track you can follow. I made an effort to create a story with many different branches and choices that actually sincerely matter. I intended to avoid publishing until it was totally finished, but unfortunately hit the publish button by mistake, so please consider this a work in progress. Many branches currently lead to blank pages, or simply don't have any further chapters following a completed chapter. I will fix this, but it will take time. Unless a chapter has GAME OVER printed at the bottom, assume there is more to come in the future.

MY MAIN FOCUS IS STORY: I want you to know that, although I enjoy a good sex story as much as the next person, I found that the most enjoyable part of writing this was the actual main story and the choices the player is faced with. There is sex, I promise, but it will be less frequent than in many other stories you read here. If you're looking for a quick read to get you off, maybe go elsewhere. This will be story heavy, especially early on.

WHAT TYPES OF SEX WILL I FIND: I have listed this story under "bisexual" but I intend to explore a lot of different themes. All of it will be based on things I find appealing (I am at least bicurious if not full-blown bisexual), but wanted to give the player the chance to honestly choose his/her own path. To that end, I will never **** the player into options in which he/she has to choose sex with any character. It is essentially the player's choice whether the protagonist is straight, gay, or bi. In fact, if you really want to, you can play the entire game without a single sex scene (though it will probably be less fun). That said, this is a huge project that will take lots of time to fully flesh out. In the early going, a lot of options will be dead ends. Just know that, eventually, there will be legitimate options for you to choose from.

THIS IS A GAME: This is essentially a survival game that includes sex. Every player, including the protagonist, can be killed based on the decisions you make. Some will be obvious life and **** choices, while others will be a gamble, or even completely unexpected. I also was careful in the choices I provided you. You are playing a protagonist, which means you can only effect his behavior. You will never, for instance, be able to choose what the weather is like on a given day, since nature is not something you can control in real life. My goal was to make this a story with consequences, not a story that allows you to decide every single detail without repercussions. I have included variables (types outlined below) and conditions for certain chapters. If you play this without clicking, "start game", you're wrong.

SHIP VARIABLES: These are percentage-based, and represent the onboard systems of the Odyssey. They will all go to zero when the ship crashes, but some may be repairable over time, if you make the right choices.

SUPPLY VARIABLES: These are countable variables like food, water, medicine, ammo, etc.. Some will decrease each day. Others will only decrease when you make a choice that results in their use. It is possible to find more of almost every countable variable, _if _you know where to look! Be on the lookout for supplies throughout the game. For obvious reasons, if you run out of some supplies, like food and water, you and your companions will die.

RELATIONSHIP VARIABLES: These are on a percentage scale that is hidden from your view, and represent each character's opinion of you. Certain actions will increase or decrease character's opinions of you. It is usually easy to predict what characters will think of your actions, but be warned, some characters are harder to read than others! High relationship values will make it more likely for characters to support you if there is a group vote, and they will be more likely to side with you if you try to install yourself as group leader. Low values, on the other hand, will cause characters to oppose you, and may make it more difficult for you to operate the way you want. In some cases, a character may even become hostile. Sex is also tied to relationship values. Every character has a sex threshold, though it is not the same for every character. If your meter is below that level, you will not be able to select the options which lead to a sex scene, or in some cases will not have the option even listed. Some characters also are unwilling to do kinkier things unless they have a higher relationship with you. Be aware that pleasing everyone is pretty much impossible, so don't feel bad if you've made a couple of enemies. The trick is making sure you choose the right enemies.

CHARACTER SKILLS: Some characters have certain skills that will help you by either making a choice successful where it otherwise would not be, by taking a choice off the table that the character knows will fail, or by providing choices that did not exist without that character's skills. For some characters, this is pretty obvious (e.g. the doctor can give better medical treatment, in some cases saving someone that would die otherwise). For other characters, it may not be. It is usually possible to find back door routes to accomplish tasks that would typically rely on a specific character skill, but it will take longer, and rely on more correct choices overall, sometimes even dumb luck. Some characters may learn a skill over time, but at least at the start, you will be lacking many helpful skills within your group of survivors.
