Chapter 7 by Rico Davies Rico Davies

What happens next?

Follow where the man leads you.

The native man leads you through the forest along a narrow trail, stopping occasionally to listen for any hostile creatures. Some time later, you emerge into a large clearing that is bustling with human activity. You see men, women and children gathered around various huts and tents, who stare at you and laugh as your captor marches you through the village. The feeling of being bound and captured like this arouses you a little and you feel yourself blushing in humiliation.

In the centre of the village is a wooden pole slightly taller than you, which has been set into the ground. The man stops you when you are standing next to the pole. He kicks you in the back of your knees, forcing you to kneel on the ground, then proceeds to untie your hands, then uses a strip of leather to retie your hands behind your back with the pole between your hands and your back. He does the same thing with your ankles, then enters one of the tents. You pull at the straps binding you to the pole, but there is no slack in them.

The man emerges from the tent with an older man, who is richly decorated with dyes, leather bands and beads all over his body. You notice he is also wearing a cloud-shaped pendant on a strap around his neck. Perhaps he's the chief of this village? He looks you over, then nods to your captor. He then gestures to some women, who smear some additional dye on the chief's face and chest, then begin to approach you. What now?
