What's next?
Fleeing Elven Security
The woman was bent over, still trying to catch her breath. “She doesn't seem like an elf…” Harako whispered.
“Then what, you think she is Miss Claus?”
The woman's pointy ear twitched. “I'm not Miss Claus! I'm Guaria. I work security, and I AM an elf! …Just not the kind that usually works here.”
“A normal elf, huh? How come you work at Santa's Workshop?” Kim replied, sidestepping to the right to avoid a giant box moving dangerously close next to her in the assembly line.
“It's a long story.”
“But I'm sure it's an interesting one!” Kim flaunted a smile, ducking slightly to dodge one of the many moving cranes swinging overhead.
“Basically, I answered a job listing looking to hire elves. There was some sort of disease in the human world, so the interview had to be remote, and well, you can't tell size by looking at a floating head in a crystal ball...”
Crystal ball? Kim opened her hand to look at the USB drive in her palm. Yeah, this place made no sense. “So, basically, they didn’t know they hired the other kind of elf.”
“Yeah. We all realized the mistake when I showed up at the door four sizes taller than their biggest uniform. But I was already hired, so… Wait a minute, I'm not supposed to be the one being interrogated!”
“Interrogated?” Kim feigned indignation, placing her hand over her chest in an exaggerated manner. “We are just making polite conversation, but if you don't want to talk… Come on Hari, we have work to do.”
“Ah, yes, work. You might fool the little ones, but we both know you aren't elfs. You aren't even my kind of elves...” Guaria pointed at Kim's ear. “...so the only question I have left is wherever you want to do this the easy or the hard way,” The elf cracked her neck and smiled. “Whatever you choose, I'm still throwing your asses out to the snow.”
“Fine, you can throw us out, but then what are you going to do about those other intruders?” Kim pointed behind Guaria.
“Who?” Guaria turned her neck around, allowing Kim to grab the back of her skirt and hook it to the crane moving behind her. The machine swiveled left, lifting Guaria's feet off the ground and carrying her along the assembly line. “Ack! You sly devil!”
“Quick, run!”
“This is not going to stop me!” Guaria gathered all her weight and ducked down, ripping off her skirt and releasing from the clutches of the crane. Her lithe body also resembled a classic statue. She had curves in all the right places, with not even a single imperfection or wrinkle. A sports bra struggled to keep her breasts in place, while red shorts hid her womanhood.
“On second thought, hide!”
Guaria quickly examined the room. The assembly line was still running. There were a lot of big boxes moving around, so there were plenty of hiding spots… or so it would seem.
The half-naked security guard waltzed to an upside-down box. “Hey geniuses, you know the box isn't tall enough, right? I can see your shoes poking out from underneath.”
“Crap, we got to run!”
“…No. She is bluffing.”
“Am I?” Guaria lifted the box and tossed it away. Inside were a couple of perplexed girls crouching down and hugging each other. Before the two could run away, Guaria grabbed them by the waist and hoisted each woman under her arms as if they were little more than logs of wood. “Now where were we? Right, the hard way.”
“How are you this strong?! Elves aren't this strong!” Kim complained, kicking and punching to no avail.
“Christmas magic, girl. It imbues me with strength and makes me more powerful the closer we are to Christmas. Same with everyone in this factory.”
“…Yeah, it's kind of the reason I can't go intangible right now,” Harako said weakly, almost embarrassed by the excuse. “It's too overpowering. I can't even float.”
Well, there went plans A and B. Time for plan C. “W-wait, you can't go back out there like this! All your coworkers will see you in your underwear!”
Guaria sighed. “Well, everyone here has already seen my panties, but I guess you are right. Don't want to give them the full show... Guess I'll just take your clothes then!”
Crap. Time for the worst plan. Plan E. Kim gave Harako the nod, and the specter nodded back with a deep sigh. They both began to wiggle and squirm something fierce.
“Ha! Yeah, I can tell you don't like the idea. The north pole is a terribly cold place to run around in your underwear, let me tell you. So, who wants to donate her clothes to… Did you two lose weight?”
Guaria looked down. The two girls weren't under her arms, she was only carrying their skirts. They had slid out of their clothes. “Clever girls…” Guaria scanned the room. Once more, she spotted two shoes hanging underneath a box moving away in the conveyor belt. “But not clever enough! Huh?”
Nothing. As she lifted the box, there were only two pairs of shoes. The girls were nowhere to be seen.
