Flee and leave everyone else to die (Straight route)

The leader of the royal guard approached the King slowly and bowed to him.

"What are your orders, my liege? Shall we join the rest of the soldiers in barricading the palace?" He asked rhetorically, as if he already was expecting the answer the King would give.

"No, your orders are to protect me and I fully intend on escaping while I have the chance." The King said.

"But my liege. . ." The leader of the Royal Guard said with a troubled face.

"No and that is my final decision. Do you plan to disobey my orders? The troops will buy us time to escape with their lives." The King said shamelessly and walked over to one of the many torches on the walls of the castle. He pulled the lever and a secret passage opened up before him.

"Are you going to follow? Time is of the essence, we must go now." The King said with annoyance and stepped into the passage. The Captain of the Royal Guard quickly followed behind as the passage door closed behind them. Suddenly a man in black jumped out and stabbed the King before the Captain of the Royal Guard could do anything.

"Your majesty!" The Captain yelled and slashed his sword at the assassin, killing him in one strike. He rushed over to give you aid but he was too late.
