What to do first?
Find people.
After a day of doing nothing and finding the internet has gone down disappointingly quickly you're soon struck by loneliness. By the second day you can't handle it and are determined to find someone. You don't like plans so you plan simply to drive somewhere and see who you can find, at the very least you'll get some more supplies, assuming this zombie thing is actually real. You're having doubts since you haven't seen anything yet.
