Since its creation, Jiyuu had been producing celebrated films in Japan, covering a variety of genres, including action, martial arts, horror, erotica and pornography, among others. Prior to their international expansion of 2020, they started to create content directed to foreign audiences, marking the beginning of Jiyuu's international movie productions.

The new films were faithful to Jiyuu's style, always bold and controversial, and were focused on showing as much nudity as possible. As years passed, Jiyuu's sexploitation and erotic movies would become classics of their genre around the world.
