I awaken tied up to a metal chair on the beach. I could see the light brown sand, hear the wind as it rustles through the palm trees, and smell the scent of ocean water.

Why the beach?

Am I dreaming?

Who’s messing with me? I don’t deserve this. Well maybe I do but not like this.

I look around and see no one else around me.

“Hello. Anyone there?”

“MASTER!!!”

Off in the distance I could see Mary running toward me. When she gets to me she unties me.

“Let’s get out of here before...”

????? says, “Before I come here. Correct.”

This 6-foot-tall Asian with a full black beard appears right in front of me. He is wearing a straw hat, black sunglasses, and DBZ themed swimming trunks. If he’s all powerful, why does he chose to look like this?

“I choose to look like this because I want to. It’s my decision.”

Crap. One wrong thought and I’m done for.

“Father, please let us go. I’m sorry for being a bad daughter.”

Not that I couldn’t already guess it, but that’s her dad alright.

“I didn’t bring you here to separate you two. However, if you want to keep your relationship, then you have to do some of my Godly duties.”

“I accept as long as I get to keep my powers and my goddess Mary.”

“I’ll text you when I have a job. Until then…”

The world blinks out of existence and I’m left on my bed with Mary.

I think Mary needs some punishment for her late warning.
