Fates Final Fortune

Welcome to a world quite unlike our own, came under siege by otherworldly beings who Immediately attempted to resurrect the world into their own toxic paradise where humanity and the other humanoid races, such as Elves, Dwarves, and Orc's have been **** to take shelter in massive Domicile Sanctuaries throughout the Qaudric Rift region mostly made up of dystopian sectors on Arborus. A lonely planet in a distant star system which has been twisted by a post-apocolypticean return of mythological Divinities and beings, making much of the world inhospitable to 'Sapian' life.

These beings are made of antichromatic matter and pervasively besiege 'mankind' from regions known as The Wildlands. Seeking to subjugate or destroy the last remnants of our old civilization, they are viewed with great fear by the general populace, who live post-modernly in these overpopulated metrodome cities known as The Sanctuaries which are defended by giant robot war machines along its outside. Citizens peacefully zip around its skyways in flying cars with fancy holophones bombarding them with media, all while Blissfully going about their daily lives much like any citizen of a bustling city would. At least as easily as a city could under constant threat of annihilation at any moment. However such as perhaps Luck might have it, humanity has been blessed with a supernatural power called the spark.

The spark manifests in humans and like beings who show a greatness of willpower. This then enables them access to true magic like powers, varied into all sorts of possibilities, but usually manifesting either in the body, the mind, or 'the supernatural'. Granting the effected with powers suitably tailored by their willpower to achieve the destiny they had set upon themselves. Those gifted with the spark always have glowing eyes, or at least a indescribably glint to them which sets them apart from their average counterparts, therefore the effected is usually the last to discover that they have evolved into a metahuman, usually leading them to carelessly manifest their powers during a time called the 'Choosing'.

During such a time many of them become Superheroes defending the weak with their power, after all they get donations from the 'Nostro Corporation' for reported good deeds in the Sanctuaries, some of the better ones can even live off such a livelihood. But just as many criminally minded individuals also manifest the spark. And these individuals often become Supervillians who control and disrupt society, making them outlaws and wanted men and women by the Sanctuaries, but still living rather comfortably in Avarice and Undercity.

But there is an even darker side of this gift of willpower. When a life changing event makes an individual lose their own Willpower to live, then they turn into something called a Demon. These beings are haunted with the event which robbed them of their willpower, but this negative willpower makes them all the more deadly beings which seek to fill the voids inside if then with the very will of others. Often granted with horrendously destructive and abominable powers beyond constraint of order. These creatures defy logic, and align themselves solely with chaos.

Fortunately however humanities saviors the Nostro Corporation, has developed a means of 'vaccinating' those 'infected' by Demonism, which turns these individuals into fully obedient weapons which still have demonic powers called Golems. These 'soldiers' have granted mankind new options, instilling order among its people, protecting it's supply lines between sanctuaries, and even expanding its borders of influence beyond its mighty walls.

But the Nostro Corporation is steadily rising in power, gaining the trust of the citizens and politicians alike. What is in store for the remnants of mankind with a mysteriously secretive intellectually progressive organization at the reigns?

Such malicious beings stalk the nights of the sanctuaries while the very myths threaten it's doors, and a darkness grows within the cities very heart. Whose destiny will you guide throughout this world?
