Chapter 4 by LukeMason LukeMason

So we've had our info-dump. What happens after class?

Extracurriculars

Mizore caught up with Marco moments after leaving the classroom.

"Marco!" She approached him in a hurry and brushed some white strands of hair from her face. "Marco, I'm really sorry, but do you have an extra copy of _Shōshitsu _I can borrow? It's not that I haven't finished it or anything, I did, but I left it at home by mistake and I figured it would be important to bring a copy with me to the Literature Club meeting, so if you -"

She stopped talking about ten seconds after she'd started. Man, she was a fast talker. But in that time, Marco had fished through his own bag and found a copy of the book. He'd been holding it in his outstretched hand, offering it to her, for a couple seconds before she'd noticed. It wasn't actually an extra copy. He only had the one, but there was no need for her to know that, right?

"Thank you!" Mizore cried, accepting the book. She literally bounced up and down a few times in joy. Her breasts vibrated in a mesmerizing rhythm. Somehow, even though she bounced symmetrically on her feet, her breasts were anything but symmetrical in their movement. As the left one went up, the right one went down. Bizarre, but Marco couldn't really complain.

Before she'd quite finished bouncing, Mizore grabbed Marco in a hug. When they'd been standing, he was a little taller than she was, but as she'd been in the air when she hugged him, she landed higher on his body than she would have from a standing start. Her arms were wrapped around his neck, her legs around his stomach. Thank goodness for that, Marco thought. Although he probably would have appreciated her legs being a little lower, he was certain she would have noticed how much he appreciated it.

Most of his attention was directed on his face. Specifically, on the pair of breasts that were pressed in there. Mizore's chest was still slightly shaking even as Marco's face was buried in between them. Through her shirt, he could feel them give a little, though there was still a bit of firmness to them. Idly, a part of his mind wondered how big they would be if they weren't constrained by her clothing.

She released her hold on him. "Thank you so much, Buchou, you're the best!"

Buchou? Marco was the club president? Shit, it was a good thing Mizore had spoken to him, or he would have missed it entirely and had no excuse. Then again, he was already grateful enough that Mizore had chosen to speak to him.

"It's no trouble at all," he said sincerely as they began walking. "Always happy to help. So why did you leave your copy behind anyway?"

"Oh, my god, it's kind of complicated. You see, there was - no, that won't make sense unless I start a little earlier. Okay! So last week..." At no point did she stop to take a breath.

Meanwhile, Nina looked through a notebook as she left the classroom. There was a list of dates, each of which had a few notes written beside it. Next to today's date read "Skate Club Meeting After School". Well, that was good to know. It was certainly fortunate that whoever Nina had been in this world before was someone who wrote reminders down. If only it were written exactly where this meeting would be held.

Nina closed her eyes. Going to Skate Club, going to Skate Club, she told herself. She started walking, trying to let muscle memory lead her in the right direction, the way it had when she had found her seat in the classroom.

"... but then it turned out that the minister was allergic to radishes, so..." Nina heard Mizore Kanari's voice saying as she passed them by.

A part of Nina felt like she knew the way. It wasn't conscious; it was either in her un- or subconscious mind. Wherever it was, she made the appropriate turns and walked the correct path until she found where the Skate Club meeting was being held.

The room was fairly small, and tucked into a corner of the building. The walls were grey, their only decoration being a single poster that was so old and worn and frayed that Nina could not even make out the picture, much less the words. There were a couple of old desks with chairs, but everyone in the room was standing. For some reason, Nina also felt wary about the idea of sitting. It felt like any attempt to do so would shatter the chair. The sheer discrepancy between the quality of this one room and that of the rest of the school was stunning.

A couple more people entered after Nina before a boy declared, "Well, that's everyone! Welcome back to another meeting, guys. I'm glad you all could make it."

The guy speaking was, well, there was no better way to describe him, hot. Even through his uniform, Nina could see the lean muscles of his body every time he moved. His face was adorned with a relaxed, confident smile and a pair of light blue eyes. His hair was loosely behind his head, with only a few strands in the front near his eyes. She could see literal sparkles surrounding him in the air.

Looking around, Nina saw that there were only six others in the room besides the two of them. Four girls and two boys. All of them had their attention locked on the attractive boy who was still speaking.

"Before we begin practice, I've got an announcement. The next Student Council meeting is this Friday, and two members of each school club will be attending this one. From the Skate Club will be myself, of course, and one of you. I'll tell you who after practice. Don't want any of you off your game."

One girl's hand shot up. "Kakuna-senpai, why exactly are the club members going to be at the Student Council meeting?"

"It's just this one," Kakuna answered. "Every term, there's always one meeting where the Student Council accepts input and ideas from other members of the student body who regularly exercise leadership. Any ideas that we have will be brought to light and addressed to the best of our abilities, or my name isn't Fusei Kakuna!"

The sparkles increased in intensity as he pointed his thumb at his face near the end.

Fusei clapped his hands together. "All right, let's head out." He turned around and opened a door that Nina hadn't even noticed was behind him. Outside was the blue-skied outside.

Fusei held the door open. As the first girl started to walk through, his hand quickly shot out toward her chest. They closed around a pair of glasses, which had just fallen from the girl's face. "Thank you, senpai," the girl said, her face red. "I don't know what I would've done if they hit the ground." Fusei responded only with a brilliant smile.

Outside was a scene that looked not like it was designed for skating, but more like it was _opportune _for it. Stairs with rails, a naturally smooth hill, a crater in the earth that looked bigger than the room they were just in. It wasn't like someone decided to build a skate park here or anything of the sort; it was like the place was already like this on its own and the Skate Club just decided that it was the best place around for it.

Nina took out her board and started to skate.

Meanwhile, Marco and Mizore finally arrived at the room where the Literature Club was meeting. "... and so that meant there was no more carpet cleaner, like none at all, and it was too late to go out to get more, so-" Mizore was still saying.

"So you had to use the keychain as a substitute," Marco nodded in understanding. "That does explain a lot."

"Exactly. So, yeah."

"Well, now that we're here, let's get started," Marco addressed every one of the other girls and boys in the club room. He pulled a notebook from his bag that was labelled "Literature Club" in Japanese. Come to think of it, why was all the writing in Japanese, even though everyone here was talking in English? Whatever. He flipped to the middle of the notebook, the last page that had anything written in it. The entire page was a shorthand list of everything Marco needed to address. Damn, he kept good notes.

"Before we dive into the book, there's some club business to take care of. This Friday, there's a Student Council meeting that will be bringing in club leaders for input. I'm supposed to bring one other member of the club to come with me to the meeting. Specifically, I'll be bringing Mizore Kanari, if that's alright."

Mizore blinked, then started frantically waving her hands. "If this is because of the stuff with the Canadian sculptor, I swear I wasn't-"

"Relax," Marco interrupted. Part of him felt wrong for interrupting her, but he justified it in his mind as a means of helping her get oxygen for once. "You were already my choice to come with me. See?" He showed her the notebook, pointing specifically to where her name was written. Yet another lucky break for him; had Marco 1.0 written any other name down, he wouldn't have even known which club member it was. Literally nobody in the room now was someone he'd already met besides Mizore, and as the club president he couldn't just suddenly not know who anyone was.

Mizore exhaled an exaggerated sigh of relief. "Okay, that makes sense."

"All right. Now that that's settled, let's get to Shōshitsu."

By the time the last of the students had left the building, and those few were just grabbing their things, Fusei Kakuna said, "Nina Kinoran will be the one joining me at the Student Council meeting."

So can school actually be done for now?
