Expose my curiosity by asking him about sex

"So..." I said, trying to break the silence with a casual segue. He smiled - I had his attention.

But the only thing that was coming to mind was his confession and that made it nearly impossible to migrate the topic onto something more generic. Oh, what the hell; he'd opened the door to the subject so he probably wouldn't hold it against me if I asked him a question or two.

"Um," I started again. I could feel the goofy grin on my face. "I was wondering. Well. What it's like."

Either I'd genuinely lost him with that or he was a real good actor. His smiled slipped into a look of mild confusion. "What what's like?"

Flustered, I tried yet again. "Well, sex I guess. Doesn't.. it hurt? How do you figure out who's, uh. Who's doing what?" I could feel my cheeks burning now and reached for my glass, for a cooling drink.

His smile returned; he actually looked amused. I tried not to notice. "It doesn't hurt if you do it right," he answered without teasing. For that I was duly grateful. "And it depends on who you're with, where topping's concerned. It helps to talk about it first but sometimes... you just go with the flow. Some people like to top, some guys only want to be bottom. I like both."

He was so comfortable with talking about the matter I felt my discomfort easing away, enabling me to look him in the eye again. "How is it done 'right'?" I couldn't help the question.

Alex laughed but even that didn't seem mocking. If I didn't miss my guess, he actually seemed to be finding this whole Q and A session enjoyable.

"Well," he said after a moment. "I -could- tell you. Or..." His brows went up and he cocked his head, offering me a smile that I found nearly irresistible. "It might be easier to show you."

He was testing the waters for sure; I didn't get the sense that he was making the offer as a joke. My heart jumped into overdrive. Holy shit. He was making a pass at me! I was on the threshold of a major moment in my life. A simple word from me and I'd be on my way to exploring something I had, till now, only fantasized about during jack-off sessions in the shower.
