Chapter 3 by Omalley99 Omalley99

Explore the room, or rush on?

Explore the room

Starlight holds out her hands and twin orbs of light begin to coalesce in her palms. They grow stronger with each passing moment, throwing out a clear, brilliant light that illuminates the room around her. What she sees sends a sense of unease shooting through her and makes her question if this were such a good idea after all.

She is surrounded by dozens of slick, black rubber sacks that hang suspended from the ceiling, their shiny surfaces reflecting the light of her orbs back at her. Each is hanging vertically, about a foot from the floor, and they are made of the a wafer thin layer of highly polished latex. More than the sacks though, it is what is inside of them that causes starlight to bring a hand to her mouth in shock. Each of the sacks unmistakably holds a person, the thin latex clinging to their forms like a second skin.

She gasps and spins, taking in both feminine and masculine forms, all trapped in the cloying embrace of these rubber sacks and all hanging utterly silent. She takes a tentative step closer to one, a feminine form, and finds herself relieved as she see's that the woman's chest still rises and falls in time with her breathing, the latex expanding and contracting in time with each breath.

Turning slowly, she tries to guess how many people must be trapped here like this, two dozen, maybe more? She gestures with one of her hands and an orb of light floats away between the sacks, playing its light over them as it goes on, and on, and on, revealing row upon row of still rubber figures. She cannot help but let out a tiny gasp as she realizes there could be hundreds of people down here.

She feels a rising sense of panic and claustrophobia, imaging herself in one of the sacks. The rubber clinging to her, stretching about her body and holding her in its skintight embrace. She catches sight of a plaque above the door, simply labeling the room "accomodation" and has to resist the urge to bolt for the door now and flee from this bizarre, nightmarish room.

Run Away, or try to help?
