Explore the jungle

With your lantern guiding the way, you press on into the cloying darkness of the jungle ahead. Nocturnal critters of all shapes and sizes skitter away from the flickering light, causing the surrounding foliage to rustle and shift unnervingly. Still, you've been in worse situations and it takes a little more than an eerie jungle to spook you.

As you get further in, it becomes harder and harder to tell which way you originally came from. If you didn't know any better, you would say that the jungle almost seems to have a mind of its own, herding you to your doom. You put aside such childish superstitions, but it might be good to keep the beach in sight anyway. On the other hand, anything interesting hidden in this jungle probably isn't within sight of the shoreline.
