Evening in the country

Joe and Clair shared a quick but nervous smile as their car pulled into the small car park they had chosen. No one else was around whilst the two got their packs from the back of the car and set off walking.

It was a late summer afternoon, the sun warming them as they walked under the dappled shade of the trees. They had planned well for this trip, and within an hour had reached the small glade they would be using as their camp. Together, they set up their tent, unpacked and settled down to cooked their dinner, barely talking as nervous excitement kept them on edge.

A couple of hours passed - dinner was finished and darkness was beginning to descend. The couple shared a brief kiss and turned to face the tiny trail leading away from the glade. They set off upon it, hoping that their research was right and that they would be lucky enough to get their hoped for show tonight.
