Establishing The Rules

Sharon and Hans sat at the kitchen table together. Sharon sipped from her Diet Coke. Hans tried to sip the strawberry lemonade but it was too sweet for him as well and was making his mouth sticky.

“Should we gather all our shoes up and put them in a line?” Sharon asked. Hans considered this for a moment.

“I think it might be more fun if we leave them scattered.” He said. Sharon considered this for a moment.

“Won’t that take longer? What if we miss a pair?” She asked. Hans considered this for a moment.

“Are you in a rush?” He asked. Sharon considered this for a moment.

“No.”

They smiled at each other.

“Let’s do this.” They said at the same time.
