Errrr.....maybe?

The two of you just look at each other for a few minutes, too stunned and shocked to say anything. Melody's cheeks are a bright crimson and you bet yours match hers nicely. She bites her lower lip and tries not to look down at your lower body. You both managed to re-entangle yourselves in the blankets, but it doesn't change just how naked you both are.

"Umm...so..." You say after a while, just trying to end the silence. Unforunatly, you didn't really have anything in your arsenal of words that would work in this situation.

"Errr...yeah." Melody replies, looking away from you slightly.

"We...uh...we had sex, then."

"I...I think so." Melody nods.

"You only think so?" You ask.

"Well, I'm pretty sure. I mean, something was in me last night. Well, more than just in me." She coughs lightly as the color in her cheeks flare up even more. "Something was both in me and out of me repeatedly."

"Ah." You say softly. You look up in an attempt to calm yourself and ease your embarrassment. That's when you notice a used condom hanging from a blade of the ceiling fan above the bed. You raise one eybrow. How the hell did that get THERE? "I...I'm pretty sure we did have sex, if that's any indication." You point up at the ceiling. Melody looks up and gulps.

"Ah, yes. I guess so." She said softly. She squirmed a bit. "Well...at least we used protection, right?"

"Yeah, yeah. That's good thinking on our part, considering how drunk we were."

"Oh, God. Just how much did we drink last night, Jack?" Melody asks, laying back down and sliding a hand under her pillow. She made a funny face and her hand came right back, holding another used condom.

"Uhh..." You are at a loss for words.

"I guess we did it twice?" Melody smiled nervously. You turn your head and look at the wastebasket next to your bed. A pile of ripped-up condom wrappers were lying on top.

"Try six times." You say, counting the wrappers.

"S-six?" She shudders, her face going pale. "Really?"

"Judging by the wrappers." You reply.

"Holy shit." She closes her eyes and shakes her head.

"Umm....I'm sorry, Melody." You say finally.

"Huh?" She responds.

"For...err...last night. That wasn't exactly the most gentlemanly thing to do."

"We were both wasted. You didn't know what you were doing." Melody assures you. "And neither did I. For all we know, I was riding you." She immediatly blushes and looks away. "Hypothetically..." She finishes lamely.

"Sooooo...are we okay?" You ask, wincing slightly at the look in your friends' eyes.

"Errr....maybe?" She responds. "I dunno. This is big, Jack. Like really big. And it hasn't even really sunk in yet."

"Yeah, I know what you mean." You reply.

"I...I'm going to take a shower, okay?" She says weakly.

"Ummm...yeah. Go ahead and do that. I'll...I'll..." You look around the room. "Try to find all the condoms."

"You sure?" She asks.

"Yeah, yeah. It'll be like an Easter Egg hunt. A twisted and perverted Easter Egg hunt."

"Okay." She nods. "I...uh...I'll go shower now." She goes to move, then stops. "Do you mind if I wrap myself in the cover sheet?"

"No, go ahead." You say.

"Thanks." She responds, and wraps one of the blankets around her body. She gets out of bed, flashes you one last look, then hurries into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. You sigh and slam your head up against the wall behind you.

What the hell is wrong with you? How could you do this to your best friend, especially after everything she went though last night. You can't believe you took advantage of her. You can't help but feel like a massive tool shed. You slam your head against the wall again, and this time a used condom falls off a curtain rod and lands on your forhead.

"Well, that's just peachy." You mutter.
