Ending 10 - Regret

You push open the door to the Artefacts room and step through. You find yourself in a large hall. Tall shelving units fill almost the entire space, each one holding row upon row of dusty snow globes just like the one you saw Shinny use on you, a long time ago... Each snow globe appears to be unique. You scan the rows of snow globes, looking for one that looks like your parents' house.

You finish examining the first set of shelves, and halfway through your search of the second set, you find what you're looking for: a snow globe with a red base, the flecks of snow inside settled around a miniature model of your parents' house. You pick it up and step back to take a closer look at it. That's when something else in the room catches your eye.

On a workbench, surrounded by metal tools and scraps and debris, is a slightly larger snow globe with a dull gold base. You venture closer. The surface of the snow globe is coated in grey dust, but you can see that underneath it is a model of a large red and white warehouse-like structure surrounded by a number of other smaller buildings. Could it be... the Workshop?

"What's going on here?" You turn around to see Alabaster, rushing towards you. It's now or never. You hurl the snow globe containing your home to the floor with as much **** as you can muster. The snow globe hits the ground with a loud crack and shatters. There is a bright red flash of light, and you collapse to the ground while the room seems to spin around you, a whirl of colour and light. It almost feels like time itself is exploding out of the broken snow globe to fill the space around you. Your vision fades to a blinding white...

The next thing you know, you're back in your bedroom, at home. Home! Your bed is here, just as you left it before Shinny appeared on Christmas Eve. The clock on your wall, ticking faintly. Your desk, your books, your posters.
