Enchanter

You'll be an enchanter, you decide. Free access to cities, keeping your horde, almost never being attacked by heroes...

Picking up your hammer and stepping out into the morning air, you brain the knight's horse and grab the various saddlebags and pouches that were hung off it.

You walk back inside and head down into the cellar to gather your horde. (You left it there so that greedier heroes would just take it and leave you alone. Of course, you forgot that there's a bounty on the head of any dragon...) You're surprised by just how little there is. A few bars of silver, a variety of gems, some jewlery, and a pouch full of coins. You take it all up, place it on the (now less-dusty) desk and tip the contents of the knight's bags out over it.

Then you start to sort through it. You keep the precious items and the meat-based travel rations, and throw away the rest. No use keeping what you can't use. You step out through the door, step over the dead horse, and leap off the cliff, beginning the long series of glides towards the nearest town. You glide over forest, hill and river, until at last you're at your destination: the town of Whitestone, named for its marble quarries.

The guards panic as you touch down from your last glide. Half of them run away screaming, while the other half point their spears at you and start to advance.
