Empowered

I reached the building where my first class was held with a few minutes to spare. As I waited for the doors to open, I wondered how things would go today. Would I be able to get through all four classes without wearing panties? Would anyone find out? It felt exhilarating and empowering to have a secret like this.

The doors finally opened and I went in. This room had tiered seats with rows of desks, so I decided to pick one on the far side toward the front where it was unlikely that anyone, even the teacher would be able to get a view from below me. I carefully sat down and waited for the professor to begin. The lecture went by quickly, and by the end of class, it was obvious that no one was the wiser about my lack of underwear. I proceeded to the next class, and the next, and the results were similar.

As I walked between classes, the air brushed against my exposed lower body, and the feeling was wonderful. However, each person I passed that failed to even look my way seemed to reinforce another fear I had long held. I was simply not attractive, and even going pantyless didn't change that. Was it my wardrobe? My hair? My glasses? Or was I so ugly that people just looked away to avoid me.

Before my final class of the day, I decided to do one more experiment. I stepped into the nearest bathroom for a quick make-over. In the past I would have been way too timid to even consider doing this, but my decision to go pantyless had given me a level of confidence unlike anything before. I pulled by hair back into a tight pony tail. Next, I hiked my skirt up over my knees, tucking the extra fabric into the belt. Then I unbuttoned the top few buttons of my blouse to reveal just a hint of cleavage. After that, I headed to my last class, sat down in a front row seat near the door and took off my glasses. Without the eyewear I could still read the text on the board from the front row, though it was a bit blurry.

As the other students filtered in, I noticed a huge change in their reaction to me. Most of the guys gave me a long look as they walked past, and even a few of the girls did too. Even the professor seemed to make a point of looking my way several times during the lecture, and he called upon me a few times for random questions. Thankfully, it was a subject I knew well, and I was able to answer each of them easily.

As I returned to my dorm, I was pleased to see that my experiment had worked. Nobody realized I wasn't wearing panties the entire day, except me. But doing so had proven I had the courage to do anything if I put my mind to it. I'd also discovered that my unattractive appearance wasn't me; it was what I was wearing.
