Eleara's sisters

Eleara has seven older sisters, all except two; Elcalba & Reina, will be competing with her to inherit the title of "Matriarch of all Elves" and the Queen of the Ashani. The sisters were born in the span of the three centuries that Elmalca was on the throne, with most having decades between them.

Elcalba The Eldest

Elcalba is the Head Priestess of the Ashani, due to her being the Queen's first born, and has inherited the role from her aunt, the eldest daughter of the previous Matriarch. Her role as the Head Priestess is to ensure the survival of the Ashani elves, either by breeding pure Ashani, be it willing priestesses or through the reeducation project of wayward elves who had forgotten their duty to the Ashani people, or by breeding new Tamari half-elven battlethralls or workers for the greater good of the Ashani. Elcalba herself have birthed a couple of daughters and a son who took their roles in the priesthood.

Elcalba is a master life **** manipulator, using it on a daily basis in the temple. She sees human-made magic as an abomination and was one of the most vocal voices against Reina, the younger sister turned mage.

Eleara has never known Elcalba in an elder sister capacity, since she was born long after Elcalba was elevated into her role. Eleara had only known her older sister as "Head Priestess" and only addressed her in a formal way.

Elnessi

Eldest among the legitimate heirs to Queen Elmalca, Elnessi spent years traveling the world and learning its ways. She was a deck-girl on Pontius Septimus of the Durvani's ship, the World Bridger, on their first voyage to find an eastern passage to the western continent.

Elnessi returned to the Ashani Matriarchy after a century of travels, already running a very experienced house guard made from her Tamari children. Her crew is extremely specialized in subterfuge and running heists and is rather famous in some parts of the world.

Elnessi experiences, from running underworld missions, to even a protection racket and running a bandit gang, stirred her to have a very rough personality. Her much more cynical views clash with her sisters often and she made it clear that once she inherits her mother as the Queen in the trial of champions, she will change to a "more aggressive diplomacy" as she put it.

Most of Elnessi's interactions with Eleara have been dismissive, she had called Eleara "Sister only by blood, and not by bond" and implied Eleara will have to earn her respect to get any back.

Elnava

Very unusual to Ashani, Elnava and Elsara were born with less than a decade between them. This brought the two siblings very close and had them travel and explore the world together as they matured. Both sisters hold roughly the same opinions on humanity and its kingdoms, wanting to keep the elven haven of the Ashani Matriarchy independent and not mix with humans too much.

Elnava took to the elven bow as tradition and fancies herself as one of the best shots in the world, with the skills to back that claim. Her biggest competitor for that title is her sister Elsara, whom she traveled with and learned different techniques from archery masters all over the world.

When arriving home, together with her younger sister, Elnava announced she will be her own champion and will not breed Tamari servants, she took no elven consorts or human breeders, an odd choice in the eyes of many, but not forbidden. Elnava stated she will only take a consort out of love, and will only give birth to a child of marriage. She had since helped her younger siblings prepare for their journeys and made a point to teach how much better and quieter it is in elven lands.

Elsara

Very unusual to Ashani, Elnava and Elsara were born with less than a decade between them. This brought the two siblings very close and had them travel and explore the world together as they matured. Both sisters hold roughly the same opinions on humanity and its kingdoms, wanting to keep the elven haven of the Ashani Matriarchy independent and not mix with humans too much.

Unlike her slightly older sister, Elnava, after their return to the elven lands, Elsara took on three consorts as well as human breeders, presenting herself as the model Ashani elf. By the time of the story, she already has a several Tamari offsprings as well as an Ashani daughter called Ella.

Elsara took it upon herself educating her younger sisters to help prepare them for their own journeys, convincing Elnava to help her in this endeavor.

Eltaira

Born during the half century her older siblings Elnava & Elsara were on their journey, Eltaira was heavily influenced by Elnessi and her tales of the outer world grim and dark underbelly, of how filthy it is out there and how so much better it is to live among the elves and with the Ashani traditions.

For those reasons, Eltaira has never left the Ashani Matriarchy and is the only sister to not do so, opting instead to live the luxurious life of an elven princess. There is no better than her in court gossip or dealing with other elven noble houses. Her gatherings and parties are famous continentwide with a saying "You can miss your granddaughter's birth, but you can't miss an Eltairan orgy", with diplomats who proved their worth with gifts and deals gaining access to witness elven physical and sexual superiority.

Eltaira is almost never seen alone, always with her army of human breeders or Tamari servants whom she also uses as pleasure servants, unusual even amongst the Ashani. Eltaira is also very guarding of her son Elsor, not letting him breed any of her sisters, while still using any opportunity to bed her brothers and her son in the hopes of having Ashani daughters.

This resulted in a fairly tense relationship with the rest of her sisters. Eltaira has wriggled her way to become the royal concubine, a role usually reserved for the second oldest sibling and is in charge of making sure the queen is sexually satisfied as well as cleaning her post sex.

Eltaira was also Eleara's first sexual experience, when she took Eleara and her twin brother Elron on the night of their maturity.

Reina

Formerly Elreina, Reina went on the traditional journey like the rest of her sisters, only that she met a human wizard whom she fell in love with. Living with him, she became fascinated with the way humans use magic via Arcane spellcasting, eventually learning that form of magic and becoming quite a powerful magician in her own right. The two had a daughter together, Ashoka, who was of course a Tamari half-elf, although Elreina treated her as though she was an Ashani.

The sin of practicing human magic caused the Queen to denounce Elreina, stripping the house prefix from her name and exiling her from the Ashani realm. Some of the sisters, predominantly Elcalba and Eltaira even argued for the execution of Reina and her daughter, even sending assassins after them in their exile.

Eventually, Reina found herself under the protection of Dogress Anila of the Durvani Confederation, a distant cousin of the Queen. She and her daughter entered the service of the dogress as court magicians, even joined the Association of Magi in efforts to protect themselves from the Ashani.

Elsira

Elsira had learned much from her older siblings, she learned the importance of Ashani traditions as well as having wit when dealing with other inferior cultures. In her travels she had seen much of the human moral corruption as her older sisters have put it, and she understands why the Ashani way must be preserved.

Elsira is the only among the sisters who was born to the coupling of her mother and one of her mother's sons, Elbon, thus giving her the right to take him as consort before her other sisters. With her father / brother, Elbon, being considered an extremely fertile male, breeding three Ashani so far, Elsira lends him to other elven maidens in exchange for favours, deals or even money, a fact that has annoyed her older sister Eltaira, who wanted to secure Elbon as one of her consorts.

Even though Elsira is considered young, only a century old, she had worked hard to secure her position among the sisters, even rivaling Eltaira in domestic politics. She sees herself as an equal, even managing to get Elcalba and Elnessi to recognize her as their younger sister.

Elsira believes that her youngest sister, Eleara, is too naïve and too much influenced by Elsara's and Elnava's "Benevolent Ashani" teachings.
