The Stone Dwarves:

If an orc is a paragon of the bestial side of masculinity, and an elf is that of its refined grace, then a Dwarf is the paragon of the stalwart decisiveness of masculinity. A dwarf is said to be stubborn as a boulder, and built to match.

Now a dwarf is not usually stubborn for the sake of being stubborn (though it is certainly not unheard of). No, a dwarf is naturally stubborn because they are the most inherently logical of all the races. Their thought process consciously weighs every option, and subconsciously measures the perceived probabilities of each possible perceived outcome. This leads them to a conclusion that is to them, the optimal solution, and it often is. Therefore, why cede any facet of your point, if the conclusion you formed was the ideal one?

This typically is the reason cited (by the dwarves themselves) for why dwarves are considered by other races to be insufferably bull headed. This can also lead dwarves to be viewed as gruff and inconsiderate. After all "They're geniuses and being nice is what stupid people do to hedge their bets".

This means that if orcs are geniuses of intuition, then dwarfs are the geniuses of methodical thought. Dwarves often specialize in several types of science, mathematics, and engineering, whether it is architectural engineering, mechanical engineering, magitech engineering, alchemical engineering or something else will depend on the individual dwarf.

Dwarf society is rigid where the customs are stated, but very lax where there is no written customs. For instance a thief who is caught is expected to pay back twice the value of what has been stolen, but if you paid extra and didn't realize it, the other party is under no obligation to pay it back. There may be stiff penalties levied against a dwarf who is caught drunk or **** on the job, but during his time off, he can be as belligerently intoxicated in public on his day off and no one will think him the lesser for it.

While rare, aboveground dwarven fortresses and even rarer above ground cities are the stuff of legends, their prosperity, security, and their geometrically perfect beauty is something that even the elves would struggle to match.

A dwarf's stalwart steadfastness also stands obstinate against the ravages of time. While not quite as long lived as the elves, it is not uncommon for a dwarf to live to be four-and-a-half centuries old, and some of the eldest graybeards have seen six centuries come to pass.

Stone Dwarf Males:

A dwarf male is a bastion of a creature. His very skeleton is built analogous to iron fortresses he himself constructs. Large muscles that one would think would slow them down are surprisingly nimble. While the average dwarf is only 5'3" tall, the breadth of his chest is often comparable to a human that is a foot taller. Where many humans are built with a v-shape to their torso, a dwarf is broad all the way from his chest to his hips. The muscles in his legs are also built wider and with much less taper to them. The skeletal structure of their joints, combined with the thickness and density of their skeleton leads their joints to be thrice as strong as a human's. All of this structure doesn't come without weight, as the average dwarf can weigh in at around 300 pounds.

Their muscular structure as well as their connective tissue seems as if it were designed with near perfect efficiency in mind. This allows them to perform acts of strength that seem to deceive the eyes of those who have not been around dwarves. For it is not uncommon for stories to be told of a dwarf beating an orc in an arm wrestling match. Most of the spectators won't know that their shorter arms lead to better leverage which stacks the deck by providing them with a mechanical advantage, you certainly won't hear it from the dwarf who just won a free round of drinks.

A Dwarven Male is all but expected to grow a beard once he reaches the dwarven age of physical, mental, psychological, sexual, and most importantly legal maturity at 30 years of age. Contrary to the rumors spread by other races, a dwarf's beard is kept as long as the particular dwarf prefers it to be. Many dwarves in positions of administrative power keep theirs longer, but that is mere personal preference. Most dwarves that work in hot, active and dangerous environments often keep their beards under 2 inches long as a matter of safety and practicality. Dwarven blacksmiths, machinists, welders, soldiers, medics, and many others wont grow long beards as long as they are in their current profession.

If an elvish male can be sexually compared to a masterful composer, and an orc a wrecking ball, then a dwarven male could be compared to a steady and powerful steam-driven power hammer. Their endurance is legendary, and is often a point of boasting for the dwarves, both to each other and those of other races. A standard dwarf's penis size is 5-8 inches in length, however a dwarf's circumferential girth will often measure the same 5-8 inches. Whether the blessing was by fortune or by design that their frames are so wide is unknown, for otherwise the width of a dwarvish codpiece would have been comically disproportionate.
