Duty first... onward to the palace.

You find your horse, your faithful steed and climb atop him.

You look out in the direction of the castle keep... the residence of the king himself, the man that sent for you. You wonder what awaits for you there, as your companion begins to trot along....

It is a long and steep road which leads up through the market place and to a second gate blocked off by heavier armored militia. Several robed old men also stand sentry nearby... no doubt mages or some other form of arcane defenders.

You place a hand on the handle of your sword and the guards tense up.

"Who goes there!?," a full plated knight calls out to you as you eye the entrance to the castle.
