The gates are open, the duke's troops are routed, and the castle is burning. The city is yours.

You wipe the sweat and soot from your brow. The fighting was hard, but now comes the reward: Plunder. Ytiss is famous for its gold, its wine, and its beautiful women, and you intend to have some of each before you leave.

Most of your compatriots have gone straight for the houses of the great merchants near the castle, but you've snuck off down a side street where the houses look almost as nice but there are fewer others who wants a share of the booty. The first door you try is sturdy and barred from the inside, but there's a low balcony next to an easily climbable tree so you are soon inside a room on the second floor. You wait for a few moments for your eyes to adjust to the darkness before you advance deeper into the house.
