Don't worry about the bartender

"Hey Megan. Two beers, please?"

"No problem." Megan gets two bottles of your favorite beer, and you take them back to the table.

Bill looks surprised. "Back so soon?"

"What did you expect? I'm not actually going to hit on the bartender."

Bill looks at you funny.

"Okay, yes, I thought about it. Still not going to do it."

He laughs, and the two of you start chatting idly. Really, both of you are checking out the ladies around you. The bar is pretty crowded with couples, men, and mixed groups, but there are a few women without guys. In the corner there's a table with a couple of pretty girls, a blonde and redhead. They're bent over a tablet and laughing. At the end of the bar is a very cute little Asian-American girl. She has a drink and looks like she might be waiting for someone. There's also a very curvy Latina sitting at a table alone. She's wearing a suit and looks a little sad.

You and your friend realize at the same time that neither of you has said anything in awhile. Bill looks at you and says, "So, are you ready to go talk to someone?"
