Chapter 4 by daciasdesire daciasdesire

Settle for Matt, or make a play for Aaron?

Ditch the dork.

Robyn thought, ‘stuff it!’ If Emma was going to get what she wanted then so could she. Nothing against Matt, other than his bad conversation starter, but there was just something about a bad boy that Robyn couldn’t resist. She’d been the goodie-two-shoes growing up and at school. She’d never really rebelled other than going on this surfing holiday after finishing high school but that was more of an accepted right of passage into adulthood.

“Hey Robs, I’m just going to grab my bag from the car and then we’re going to take a look around the point,” Emma called out to her friend before moving off with Steve and Jeff without waiting for her reply.

Robyn had to act quick before she got stuck talking to Matt and Aaron went off and did something else. Leaving the still speechless Matt, Robyn quickly strode over to Aaron and made an opening line of her own.

“It’s starting to get too bright now, mind if I borrow your sunnies?” Robyn asked reaching up and taking the mirrored shades from Aaron. It was something she’d learnt from Emma, pretend you're asking for permission for something you are going to do anyway. People have **** but to go along with you then.

“Sure. Ahh help yourself,” Aaron said bemused by the now seeming spunky little blonde cracker Robyn. He winces against the morning sun before adding, “there goes my vision.”

“And what was it you were so interested in seeing?” Robyn asks what she hopes sounds like flirting.

“There was this cute little blonde chick in a bikini was checking out,” Aaron answers.

Matt realising he’s missed the boat on both Emma and Robyn now slinks off with his surfboard to do what the guys had originally come here for and surf.

“Oh really? I’ve got these sunnies on and I can’t see her?” Robyn says playing along and pretending to look around for this blonde chick.

Laughing Aaron continues, “strange. She was right here a minute ago. You one of the guys might have a spare pair of glasses in the Jeep if you want to help me look?”

Very pleased with how well things are going, Robyn starts to walk toward the boys’ yellow four-wheel drive. It's parked only a few metres away from where Emma, her and the guys had got talking.

Opening the door and looking into the front of the car, Robyn comments, “I can’t find anything in here.”

“Maybe we should try the back seat?” Aaron replies.

Does Robyn check out the backseat?
