Dinner

With the little time he had left, Spencer gave himself a quick wash, before going to pick up Amy at school. When she hops into the car, Spencer asks "Had a good day?"

"Sure did. Did you and Dani?"

"Yeah."

"So, you all ready for tonight?"

"Of course."

"You'll kill it."

"I hope so. I don't want to eat anything that's alive." Amy acknowledged Spencer's dad joke with a slight chuckle.

Once the two get back home, they found Danielle sitting on the couch with a laptop in her lap, her hair still wet from her recent shower, wearing a tank top and yoga pants.

"Hey guys."

"Hey." Amy said.

"You have a good day?"

"Yeah."

"You got your photos on that laptop?" Spencer asked.

"I sure do, you want to check them out?"

Amy nodded and the two sat down with Danielle on the couch. Three proceed to browse Dani's gallery, as Spencer gave Amy the occasional glance to reassure himself that she's having a good time. After seeing many of Danielle's gorgeous nature shots, Amy said "Maybe we could go out and try to take some photos sometime."

"I'd be happy to." Danielle said.

"Sure. How about this time next week?"

"Perfect. Say, how about I show you the basics right now, Amy?"

"Sure."

"I'll let you two do that. I think it's time to get a start on dinner."

"Sounds fair."

Spencer headed straight to the kitchen where he prepared his sweet and sour brew. As he's cutting up the vegetables, he noticed a flash in the corner of his eye. He turned to see Amy and Dani chuckling, with Amy holding Dani's camera.

"Well, that's going to be a great photo."

"How can you be sure?"

"You've got a beautiful subject matter."

Spencer continued making the meal as the two girls snigger and go off to take more photos. About half an hour later, Spencer had his meal ready. He took a deep breath, hoping it was good enough to impress his girlfriend. "Alright, it's ready girls."

The three sit around the dining table. Spencer watched Danielle like a hawk as her fork traveled to her mouth. The "Mhmm" she gave once the food entered her mouth gave some relief, but not as much as her saying "This is really nice. Good job Spencer."

"Well, that's good."

Danielle shot Spencer a puzzled look "You say that like you were expecting it to not be good."

"Let's just say he had some practice." Amy interjected.

"Well, at least he's a good learner." Dani proceeded to drink a sip of her favorite shiraz, another detail she was pleased Spencer had gotten right.

With the meal finished, Spencer touted his next creation, his frozen caramel slice. After the dishes, the three sat down on the couch to watch Wonder Woman and eat the dessert, which got similar praise to his stir-fry. After the movie, Amy retreated to her room to do her homework, allowing Dani to pat Spencer's thigh. "So, what shall we do now?"
