Day Two

By the time Kayla woke up Stuart had already left for work. She wandered through to the kitchen in her nightie where she found a note he'd left for her:

"Thanks for a lovely anniversary evening last night, sorry that I was in such a mood last night. You looked so beautiful sleeping I didn't want to disturb you. Have a great day, love you loads, S xxx"

Kayla's heart fluttered briefly, Stuart might not be every woman's idea of a dream man but when he put his mind to it he knew how to put a smile on her face. As she sat down with her breakfast cereal she planned her day ahead - shower, then she'd spend the morning working on an essay for uni. And if the weather was as nice as it had been in previous days she'd take the afternoon off to go and relax in the sun before she was due for the evening shift at her local bar.

Suddenly her train of thought was interrupted by a repetitive thudding sound coming from outside. She walked to the window and saw that Jason had set up a punch bag on his patio and was in the process of giving it a thorough pounding. Kayla couldn't help be impressed by the strength and power her new neighbour was demonstrating. She could quite happily spend the entire morning watching him work out...
