Deciding that you best take a weapon to defend yourself you enter your room and kneel at your bed. Reaching around under your bed you grab a small wooden box with regal indentations and flip the small latch at the front. In the box lays the only possession your father gave you before leaving your mother and yourself. There are a few people still milling around town such as fishermen returning from sea as you head in the direct of the 'rough' part of town. Following the dingy roads you start to see how the surroundings have deteriorated compared to places such as the marketplace. Hooded figures linger around every corner as you see a amber light in the distance. 'The Den' its called. Its an inn with a notoriously bad reputation for housing drunks, thieves, and murderers, these are the only kind of people that go there and anyone sane would never find themselves willingly make their way there.

Gradually getting closer you hear a loud scream come from a nearby alleyway "HELP PLEASE!' the piercing scream shoots through your senses "its a woman" you think. Heroic instincts kicking in you dash into the alley way only to be confronted by a group of 4 men and woman stood up "Gotcha'" she winks. Noticing its a trap you pull out your father's dagger and wield it in front of them, "Wow, easy there now" the woman steps back, "come on lets go i ain't got time for this. You better keep that on ya boy, next time we all might have weapons too" she snarls. The group then slump off deeper into the alley.

"Mmph, thanks Dad" you sarcastically whisper to yourself as you return to the path leading to The Den.
