Cut through the forest

You can't linger too long on your travels. You'll need to take the fastest route to safety, even if it means running into dangers. You grip your spear tight and take a deep breath before heading in the directions where the sun sets.

You push past the intensifying brush. You can barely see five carts ahead of you. The leather is doing a good job at keeping parts of you from being scratched, but parts of your exposed leg and shoulders are becoming sore from the constant thorns and branches brushing against you.

"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all," you say to yourself as you slowly maneuver into the darkening forest. The canopy above is becoming more and more dense, letting less and less light through. It's becoming increasingly hard to see where the sun is. Only a green hue hovers over your surroundings.

You start to feel thirsty, your mouth dry. "Now I'm really starting to regret this." But despite your regret, you continue moving forward. You continue on and on for hours, the forest not letting up in its denseness. You're starting to lose hope that you'll even make it. Your steps slow down and you sit down to rest.

As you plant yourself on a nearby log, you hear the sound of a flute in the distance. You regain hope, quickly rising off the log in excitement. The song you hear from the flute is very distinct, yet somehow familiar. You're eager to go investigate, but somehow you still feel slightly suspicious at the enchanting sound of the flute. Should you go toward the sound of the flute or simply ignore it and continue on your way?
