The guards of the caravan come into the tavern every night for dinner and you find it hard to ignore the catcalls and hungry looks. You manage to pick out one of the guards who seems more obsessed with you. He seems to hang around you like a dog and, seeing a way in, you spend your evening talking to him. His name is Wesker and the ugly scar that bisects his face turns you off but you manage to pretend you are interested and you would be damned if he didn’t start to grow on you. Listening to his stories of the world beyond and his exciting adventures only serve to solidify your will to leave..

The night before the caravan is supposed to leave you manage to get Wesker alone. You barely have to act when you step in close to him and beg to be allowed to stow away on the caravan. When you press your body up against his he averts his eyes and, to your surprise, actually blushes. His weak attempts to put you off soon fall away and he agrees to help you hide away.(STAT UP! + 10 Cha)

Telling you to meet him at midnight you run home and, hugging your brothers, sisters and mother. You explain that you are leaving the village to seek your fortune elsewhere and that you promise to send back money when you can. Eventually midnight comes and you meet with Wesker. He shows you to a small space he has made in one of the carts and tell you to stay hidden. He will bring you food and water when he can. Smiling at you he covers up your hiding spot, leaving you in the small dark space with the smell of animals and straw.

After that things get blurry, you struggle to recall where you went next…
